Over $100,000 In Community Service Funding

Red Deer Rotary inviting grant applications to support the community

For 100 years, The Rotary Club of Red Deer has created IMPACT across our community.

Over a century, more than $4 million dollars have been invested across Red Deer by the Rotary Club of Red Deer, much of it supporting youth, education, culture and vulnerable populations.

“It’s amazing to realize the range of projects and organizations Rotary has been able to support over the last 100 years and the impact it has created, but that’s what the Rotary Club of Red Deer does,” said Club President, Phil Hyde. “We continue that legacy through great investments in our community today.”

This year, projects receiving Rotary Community Service funding will top $100,000.

The Club is inviting local organizations to apply for its latest round of Community Service Grants. Initially there is a short form application that the committee will review and then invite selected groups to provide a more detailed application that will be considered in making final decisions. Deadline for the Short Application is Monday, October 23, 2023.

“We recently surveyed our members, who suggested our priorities for this period should be Mental Health, Youth, and Community Development,” said Hyde. “With that in mind, we are very interested in seeing what needs are identified across our community, and then determine who and how we can help”, added Hyde.
