Northside YMCA’s community gallery seeking art submissions

The Northside YMCA in Red Deer is seeking submissions for its community art gallery and upcoming exhibit.

The exhibit will be part of Alberta Culture Days, celebrated throughout September.

According to the YMCA, submissions will be accepted until September 1, and will be selected by a jury to fit the theme, “The Place We Call HOME”.

“Artists are encouraged to explore the concept of ‘home’ in their work — is it the place you live or grew up, a place you frequent that feels like home or is it something less concrete?” a release states.
