Trial date set in drugs, firearms, explosives, and stolen merchandise seizure near Ponoka
A trial date has been set for the second of two people charged following the seizure of a large quantity of drugs, firearms, explosives, and various stolen merchandise in Ponoka County this year.
Timothy Shawn Leblanc, 36, of Ponoka County, is scheduled for trial in Ponoka Court of Justice on Feb. 13, 2024.
His co-accused, meanwhile, 28-year-old Amanda Stewart, also a resident of Ponoka County, is scheduled for trial in Ponoka Court of Justice on Sept. 1, 2023.
It was on Feb. 16, 2023, when RCMP received information with regards to stolen property at a rural location near Ponoka. As a result of the investigation, between Feb. 18, 2023, and Feb.21, 2023, Ponoka RCMP with the assistance of the RCMP Police Dog Section and the RCMP Explosive Disposal Unit, executed search warrants at the property.
