Red Deer’s Eileen Park has strong showing at Canadian Amateur Championship

Red Deer’s Eileen Park, who’s only 14, finished T40th at this week’s 109th Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship.
The tournament was played at the Ashburn Golf Club in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Park, fresh off becoming the Alberta U19 champion, fired rounds of 72, 77, 73 & 79 to finish at +13, 21 shots off the pace set by winner Lauren Kim of Surrey, B.C., who turns 18 next week.
The field consisted mostly of Canadians, but also included golfers from around the world, including the United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, Philippines, Mexico, the U.S., Chinese Taipei and Thailand.
