Birthplace Forest celebrates Lacombe’s newest citizens

Lacombe residents joined members of city council this week, including Councillor Scott Dallas, and Councillor Don Gullekson, along with City administration to plant a tree in the City’s Birthplace Forest.

The City of Lacombe initiated the Birthplace Forest Program in 2007, transforming a portion of Lincoln Park on Woodlands Drive into a commemorative urban forest.

Families annually plant a tree, honouring both their newborns and the community’s environment.
