Rob Robison will not return as Western Hockey League (WHL) commissioner following the 2023/2024 campaign.

The season will be Robison’s 24th at the helm of the WHL.

Born in Saskatchewan, Robison joined as commish and CEO prior to the start of the 2000/2001 season, after spending nearly two decades as a senior exec with Hockey Canada.

He will go down as the longest serving WHL commissioner, in recent years surpassing former league president Ed Chynoweth, who guided the Dub for 21 seasons.
