The Mustard Seed says soaring costs of living causing increased demand for services
The Mustard Seed says they are facing an increase in demand for their services and meal programs across Alberta and British Columbia.
The organizations says rising costs of living have put people in greater need, with more accessing help and support, looking for relief from the financial strain.
“With food budgets being stretched thin for individuals and families, we have seen an increase in demand for all facets of our food services. The number of guests being served at our hot meal programs, as well as those in need of additional hampers, has dramatically increased. Those who were just barely getting by are now needing our help to make ends meet,” said Senior Director of Food Services Laura Giesbrecht.
With the continued goal of promoting wellness for those in need of their services, The Mustard Seed is calling on local community support to meet the demand.
