Red Deer Arts Council: What’s Happening in June 2023

Summer Staff & Summer Hours at the Red Deer Arts Council (RDAC)

Now that they’ve got a few extra faces in the office, the Council says they’re able to extend their hours to 10 am. – 5 pm. Monday through Friday.

Last Chance to participate in the Open Studio Tour!

The final deadline to participate in the Open Studio Tour, taking place during Alberta Culture Days from September 9-10, is coming up.

All completed documents must be submitted in full by end of day June 12.

Use the online form to submit all required information.

RDAC 50/50 Raffle Fundraiser extended to June 30

It’s the last chance to get 50/50 tickets in support of RDAC events and programs.

Tickets can be purchased for just $5 each on their homepage, via Board members, volunteers, and staff, or by sending an E-Transfer to info@reddeerartscouncil.ca with contact details so tickets can be emailed.

CARFAC Visual Art Gathering

The Council says they are excited to welcome the Board and staff of CARFAC Alberta (Canadian Artists Representation-Le Front des Artistes Canadiens) to theRDAC Community Gallery (6 – 4919 49 St) on Saturday, June 10 at 3:30 p.m. for a Meet & Greet.

CARFAC leadership will be visiting Red Deer from across the province and say they want to engage with the local visual arts community to share how they support the arts in the province.

Guests can reserve their spot on Eventbrite.

Reserve your community’s ‘In the Neighbourhood Concert Series’ show!

The Council is presenting their fourth year of pop-up concerts in and around central Alberta this summer!

They say they have five concert spots remaining throughout the summer months for shows to take place in outdoor spaces in Red Deer but need residents to sign up.

Those interested can register online to host a concert in their neighbourhood.

Concerts are free to community association.
