An event to highlight the national Moose Hide Campaign is happening in Red Deer today (May 11).

What is the Moose Hide Campaign?

The Moose Hide Campaign allows Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians to join and take a stand against gender-based violence while on a collective journey of reconciliation. We have joined the call for reconciliation and the end of gender-based violence in Canada through the Moose Hide Campaign. The event will include the live stream of the traditional opening, followed with the virtual workshop about Cultivating Safe Spaces, and concluding with the virtual walk live from the Legislative Assembly in Victoria, B.C.

Tammy Predovic (McMan Family – Resource Network), Damian Bottrell (Provincial Family Violence Treatment Program Facilitator), Kenyn McDougall (Central Alberta FASD Network – Community Outreach and Support Worker), and Lloyd Pulliam (UAVS – Urban Aboriginal Voices Society Elders’ Circle)
