Threat made at Red Deer school; RCMP determine no danger

Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools is confirming that there was no danger to anyone at one of its Red Deer schools Tuesday, after a threat was made.

St. Martin de Porres School, in West Park, was made aware of a threat to the safety of staff and students, the division says in a media release Tuesday afternoon.

Once made aware, school administration implemented the division’s Hour Zero protocols, which meant involving the RCMP.

RCMP responded, searched the building and did not locate any actual threat. RCMP continue to investigate.
