Town of Innisfail declares Fire Ban

Due to the continuing dry weather, the Town of Innisfail’s fire chief has issued a Fire Ban for the Town of Innisfail.

Instituted as a precautionary measure, Town officials say the ban comes as a number of fires continue to burn throughout the province due to a prolonged period of dry conditions.

Under the ban, residents are not permitted to burn outside, even in designated fire pits. This includes charcoal barbecues and recreational fires. The ban applies to public and private property.

Fires fueled by propane or natural gas are still permitted, provided they are contained within approved cooking or heating appliances.
