Arrest made after dangerous driving incident in Red Deer

RCMP in Red Deer have charged a woman following a dangerous driving incident on April 20.

It was 3:15 that afternoon when members of Red Deer RCMP were conducting patrols and observed a stolen Acura MDX driving erratically in the area of Riverside Meadows.

The female driver is said to have driven into a parked vehicle, and then was arrested.

Tiana Crandon, 32, of Red Deer County, was arrested and remanded into custody. She is charged with:

  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Drive while unauthorized
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand (drugs)
  • Failure to comply with release order condition

RCMP remind residents that vehicle thefts can be prevented, and ask that people remember to not leave vehicles unattended and running. Vehicle monitoring is also recommended.
