Parking restrictions in Parkvale begin today for the summer

Motorists in Red Deer are being advised of temporary parking restrictions that will be in place throughout Parkvale this summer, starting today.

The City says the restrictions were implemented as crews work to upgrade watermain infrastructure.

Between Monday, March 27 and approximately October 15, 2023, parking in the following areas will be reserved for resident parking only:

  • 46 Ave: from 47 St to Ross St
  • 49 Ave: from 47 St to Ross St
  • 47 St: from 46 Ave to 49 Ave
  • 48 St: from 46 Ave to 49 Ave
  • 49 St: from 46 Ave to 49 Ave

The City confirms that vehicles parked in any of these areas without a residential parking tag will be ticketed and may be towed.

Drivers are also being reminded to slow down when in construction areas and pedestrians are to cross only at designated crosswalks. They say the work is weather dependent and schedules may be subject to change.
