Red Deer rental rates moving higher
Average rents in Red Deer continue to move higher.
According to the latest National Rent Report from rentals.ca, the average rent for a one bedroom unit in Red Deer in January was $1,060 per month, up 4.4 per cent from December and 7.4 per cent from January 2022. That places Red Deer at 33rd on the list of 35 Canadian cities included in the report.
The average rent for a two bedroom unit in Red Deer was $1,264 per month, up 7.1 per cent from December and 18.1 per cent when compared to the same month last year.
Elsewhere in Alberta, Calgary placed 26th on the list with an average rent of $1,526 per month for a one bedroom unit, while a two bedroom averaged $1,894 per month.
