Red Deer home sales increase last month over December

Red Deer home sales were higher last month when compared to December but lower than what was seen in January of last year.

According to the latest market update from the Central Alberta Realtors Association, there were 92 units sold in Red Deer last month, up from 64 units sold in December but lower than the 125 units sold in January 2022.

The average sale price in Red Deer last month was $283,526, down from $315,213 in December and $312,382 in January 2022.

The average number of days to sell a home in Red Deer last month was 70, up from 63 days in December and 67 days in January 2022.

For the entire central Alberta market, there were 216 units sold last month, up from 191 units sold in December, but down from 316 units sold in January 2022.

The average sale price throughout the entire central Alberta market last month was $289,450, down from $313,000 in December and $333,755 in January 2022.

Meanwhile, the average number of days to sell throughout the entire central Alberta market last month was 83, up from 76 days in December and 80 days in January 2022.
