Live community update on shelter site selection process this Friday
Red Deer city council will be hosting a live community update to share information on the permanent shelter location.
On February 3 at 9:10 a.m., Mayor Ken Johnston and members of council will be providing an update on the site selection process but have not given specifics on the details.
On Tuesday, a Special Council Meeting was held on the topic. However, it was mainly in-camera. The information to be shared with the public was postponed until Friday and the City says Jeremy Nixon, Minister of Seniors, Community and Social Services, will be joining virtually.
