Annual Red Deer Christmas lights tour as big as ever

Dec 14, 2022 | 10:23 AM

The yearly Red Deer Christmas lights tour is back, courtesy of Jim and A.J. Elliott.

Jim, a former City employee, started the tour back in 1975.

As the Elliotts write in their guide: “We hope this Christmas Light Tour inspires people to see what the lights represent, see the beauty all around them, to find community in other people, and to have an event to look forward to in tough times. We are grateful for all those who were able to decorate and everyone who participated in the light tour. This community event is not possible without you. Thank you!”

Below, view a PDF version of all eight neighbourhood routes, which combined make for a six hour, 18 minute, 144 km long trip.
