Red Deer Hospice launches Memorial Angel Fundraiser

Red Deer Hospice is starting off the holiday season with their 3rd Annual Memorial Angel Campaign.

The 24k gold-plated ornaments, accented with Swarovski crystal, are $25.00 each. Hospice officials say all proceeds raised from the campaign will go directly to resident comfort and care at Red Deer Hospice.

The memorial angels are described as holding a very special meaning to resident families, as well as staff at Red Deer Hospice. When a resident passes away, officials say memorial angel ornaments are placed in the window of Hospice’s Sanctuary Room. At the end of each year, the angels are moved to the Hospice Christmas Tree by the Care Team in a private ceremony.

“It’s a chance for our staff to honour and share memories of the residents they cared for during their time at Hospice,” stated Jerri Taylor, Red Deer Hospice’s Executive Director.
