Kipp Scott donates new van to Central Alberta Humane Society

Aug 31, 2022 | 12:09 PM

The Central Alberta Humane Society is celebrating what the organization describes as an amazing donation from Kipp Scott GMC, a local dealership that will help them with their animal and supply transports in the community.

A 2022 cargo van will be used for animal pick-ups and drop-offs, business and supply pick-ups, and equipment deliveries. G-Force Graphics also pitched in and donated the sign wrapping that brings the van it to life, say Humane Society officials.

The organization says this partnership will serve as an important reminder to the community regarding the essential service CA Humane provides. Community support, like their collaboration with Kipp Scott, makes it possible for CA Humane to provide hundreds of lost and abandoned animals with shelter, food, enrichment, and veterinary care. Officials say this van will also provide a visual reminder that the Central Alberta Humane Society is here and helping local animals in need.

The organization notes it has been a very difficult few years in their industry with adoptions and donations down significantly. As a result, all support is welcomed and appreciated. Central Albertans are encouraged to consider donating to the Central Alberta Humane Society at cahumane.com.

“The team at Kipp Scott GMC is proud to help the Central Alberta Humane Society by donating this vehicle, which supports the efforts to save our furry friends. Many of us at the dealership have pets, and a lot of those pets were once rescue animals,” said Garrett Scott, Dealer/Operator of Scottsville Auto Group. “On most weekends, Leonard, Scott’s rescue Pitbull, can be seen roaming the showroom visiting his work friends.

“Having a reliable vehicle to do day-to-day work will be so beneficial to our society and staff. Thank you to Kipp Scott for this amazing donation,” said Vince Jackman, Chair of the CA Humane Board of Directors.

”The generosity of this donation from Kipp Scott GMC is truly heartwarming, and deeply appreciated,” added Eve Sira, Executive Director of CA Humane. “They included winter tires on rims, added a remote start and backup camera that will make a huge difference in safety and comfort to the team members that drive it. Most importantly, they even installed an alarm system that will help protect the van from the local crime around the area.”

“G-Force Signs & Graphics also stepped in and donated the full signage screening,” shared Sira. “We are so grateful for this support, and it would have a huge impact on us and our animals.”
