Red Deer golfers stay atop leaderboard at Alberta U19 Golf Championship

Red Deer golfers continue to lead the way at the Alberta U19 Championship at the Cougar Creek Golf Resort near Edmonton.

Eileen Park of the Red Deer Golf & Country Club widened her lead atop the girl’s division after an even round 72 at the Cougar Creek Golf Resort on Wednesday.

Heading into the final round Thursday, the 13-year-old has a 6 stroke lead.

Last year in Carstairs, Park lost a dramatic playoff to champion Grace Bell but says her game has improved a lot since then and she’s ready to win this year.
