Red Deer golfers on top at Alberta U19 Golf Championship

Central Alberta golfers are among those leading the way at the Alberta U19 Championship at Cougar Creek Golf Resort west of Edmonton.

Eileen Park of the Red Deer Golf & Country Club leads the Girl’s side after a 4-under 68 at the Cougar Creek Golf Resort. Meantime, Logan Graf of the RDGCC is tied for the lead in the Boys division after a 2-under 70.

The 13-year-old Park has a 2-stroke lead heading into round 2 of the 54-hole event. Graf, meanwhile, is one shot better than Cole Bergheim, who fired a 1-under 70 and is tied in 3^rd with five others.

Alex Gerrard, also of the RDGCC is 6 off the pace after a 76. Michael Song of Riverbend shot an 86 and is 16 back.
