Didsbury RCMP seek assistance in locating wanted male

Alberta Mounties are hoping you can help them track down a wanted man.

On May 28, 2022, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Didsbury RCMP responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle near Westcott Hall, located in Mountain View County, AB. Upon arrival, the driver of the suspect vehicle fled from police, but not before he was identified by officers as 35-year-old Joseph Aubut.

As he fled the scene, RCMP allege he drove directly at officers and narrowly missed a civilian bystander. Mounties say numerous attempts have been made to locate Aubut, however, police have not been successful in apprehending him to date.

As there is a concern for public safety, Didsbury RCMP are seeking public assistance in locating Joseph Jerry Aubut. Aubut is currently wanted for 52 offences, many being crimes against persons. Some of these offences include assault, harassing communications, intimidation, and flight from police.
