Three youth charged after airsoft gun shootings in Rimbey this week

Three youth are facing charges after a trio of students were fired at by individuals with airsoft guns in Rimbey this week.

On June 22, 2022 at 3:30 p.m., Rimbey RCMP received a report of youths discharging airsoft guns at parked vehicles and students at the Rimbey Junior Senior School parking lot.

Upon arrival, RCMP interviewed witnesses and determined that three students reported being shot at, and two of them were hit. Mounties say the students shot did not require medical treatment or hospitalization.

On June 23, 2022, Rimbey RCMP arrested three youth, ages 16 and 17. All three have been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault with a weapon.
