Red Deer man celebrating lottery win

A Red Deer man is celebrating some new found fortune after winning the lottery last month.

Robert Desrosier stopped at the Save-On-Foods at 6720 52 Avenue in Red Deer on May 28, to pick up his tickets for the WESTERN 649 draw later that evening, not realizing his trip to the store was about to make him a winner.

The day after the draw, Desrosier checked his ticket at a local store and was shocked when he saw that he had won $100,000.

“I freaked out — I had to double check to see how many numbers you need to match to win,” he laughed.
