Central Alberta golfers tee it up in Sundre for the Alberta Open
Central Alberta golfers are teeing it up in Sundre this week for the Alberta Open.
Fourteen central Alberta golfers will tee off on June 21, for a chance to claim the 2022 Alberta Open title.
The three-day, 54-hole event of stroke-play will be contested at the narrow, tree-lined Sundre Golf Club from Tuesday until Thursday.
The Alberta open is a combination of amateur and junior golfers with PGA of Alberta club pros as well as new and veteran professionals on the various developmental tours. There’s some good cash up for grabs with a $30,000 purse, with the champ of the Pro division to take home $8,000. The amateur champ gains entry into the Pacific Coast Amateur Championship.
