Tourism Red Deer launches 2022 Visitor Guide

May 19, 2022 | 8:30 AM

May-long weekend is the un-official kick-off to summer and Tourism Red Deer is excited to launch its new 2022 Visitor Guide.

The organization says Red Deer has not had an official Visitors Guide since 2019 and Tourism Red Deer is excited to share all the things to do in the area with the region’s returning visitors.

Over the past few years, officials with Tourism Red Deer say they have heard from visitors that they want a tangible guide to take with them while they’re out discovering what central Alberta has to offer. The organization says their guides will be available throughout the Red Deer region and province.

The interactive guide aims to give visitors an excellent preview of Tourism Red Deer’s extensive new website. You will see QR codes throughout the guide that will link to more in-depth information on www.visitreddeer.com. You can also discover things to do, spots to eat and drink, places to stay and so much more.

In addition, you can find helpful resources like maps, fun summer bucket list ideas and so many tools to help make exploring Red Deer’s Backyard even easier.

“We are so excited to have a fresh new guide to Red Deer and central Alberta,” shares Rene Rondeau, Executive Director – Tourism Red Deer. “Our team has worked very hard to put this together with the goal to help connect visitors directly to our amazing members. We are here to help give our visitors a truly authentic and memorable experience by providing them with all the resources they need while they are here in Red Deer.”

“We have so much to offer the visitor and we can’t wait to show it off,” he exclaims.

The interactive guide is said to be an excellent way to showcase all of Tourism Red Deer’s members. It is also available on the organization’s new website at visitreddeer.com.

Tourism Red Deer launched a fresh new website in December and together with this new guide, is expected to help visitors discover everything Red Deer and the surrounding region has to offer.

You’re encouraged to share the new guide while you’re out exploring the region and use the hashtag #ExploreRedDeersBackyard and follow Tourism Red Deer on social media so you don’t miss all the exciting offers and contests Tourism Red Deer has coming up.
