RCMP’s Emergency Response Team arrests Red Deer man

A Red Deer man is facing charges after the RCMP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) responded to the Anders neighbourhood Thursday morning.
On May 1, 2022, Red Deer RCMP received a report of threatening comments made online. Following an investigation, members of the General Investigation Section (GIS) were able to identify the suspect and their location to a residence in the Anders Park neighbourhood.
Mounties say a search warrant of the residence was executed by Red Deer RCMP and ERT on the morning of May 12, 2022. As a result of the warrant, the suspect was arrested and charged.
Jordan Redmond, 25, of Red Deer has been charged with possession of a firearm without a licence, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and careless use of a firearm.
