Red Deer curler to make her Olympic debut
A local curling athlete is off to the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, China to compete in her first Olympic Winter Games.
Red Deer’s own, Jocelyn Peterman is making her Olympic debut next week with the Canadian Women’s Curling Team.
Peterman says her passion for the sport started at the age of five. Once she turned 10, however, she started playing competitively.
Peterman says her Olympic journey began in 2016 when she competed in her first Tournament of Hearts at just 22 years-old. This skyrocketed her career after winning the national title alongside Chelsey Carey, going on to her first world championship and winning bronze.
