South Korea lifts ban on Canadian beef
Canadian beef will once again be allowed in South Korea.
Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau shared the news on Twitter today.
She said South Korea has lifted the temporary suspension on Canada beef imports imposed last month after the discovery of an atypical bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) in an eight-and-a-half-year-old beef cow on a farm in Alberta.
CCA appreciates all of the work done to have the temporary export suspension to South Korea lifted as soon as it was. Expanding and maintaining access to diverse markets is our top trade priority. https://t.co/l6hb0tgDXe
