Suspicious death in Stettler under investigation by RCMP Major Crimes

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating a suspicious death in Stettler.

Shortly after 10 a.m. on Oct. 26, Stettler RCMP responded to a call to assist EMS with a person in medical distress.

After attending a residence, the person was declared deceased on scene.

Stettler RCMP say their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the 44-year-old female from Stettler are believed to be suspicious.

“As such, Alberta RCMP Major Crimes attended and took over carriage of the investigation,” they say. “The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit, along with the assistance of Stettler RCMP and RCMP Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate this suspicious death.”
