Red Deer RCMP searching for adult male who allegedly assaulted a child

Red Deer RCMP need your help locating a suspect involved in the alleged assault of a minor at a playground on Sunday, Sept. 5.

Police say at 5:45 p.m., police received a call of a male youth who had been assaulted at the G.H. Dawe School playground on the east side of the facility.

The victim was playing when an adult male approached him and allegedly assaulted him. The child was injured and EMS were called to the scene.

The suspect is described as tall and muscular, approximately 6’2″ tall, between 35-40 years old, had yellow, red, and green hair and a long beard.

At the time of the incident the suspect was said to be wearing dark pants, a black hoody, and yellow shoes. He was also riding a yellow-orange bike.

At this time, police do not believe the suspect is known to the victim.
