Rocky man dead following single-vehicle rollover south of Whitecourt

A Rocky Mountain House man has died following a single-vehicle collision in Yellowhead County.

Police say a commercial vehicle was travelling north on Hwy. 32 near Township Road 570, south of Whitecourt, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit the ditch and rolled.

An officer with the Edson Traffic Unit happened to be nearby and arrived right away. The 51-year-old male driver of the vehicle and sole occupant was pronounced dead on scene.

RCMP continue to investigate to determine the cause of the accident. No further updates are anticipated.
