Head-on collision claims life of Red Deer man

Blackfalds RCMP are investigating a fatal head-on collision near Red Deer Sunday afternoon.
It happened shortly before 4:20 p.m. when Blackfalds RCMP, EMS, and Red Deer County Fire and Patrol responded to the scene along Highway 11 just east of Red Deer.
Sgt. Brent Dueck with Blackfalds RCMP says their investigation indicates a westbound semi collided with an eastbound Toyota Tundra pickup truck, killing the driver of the pickup. Dueck says the pickup driver was a man from Red Deer in his mid-50s.
The semi driver suffered minor injuries.
