Crash near Wetaskiwin claims life of 41-year-old man

RCMP are looking into the cause of a fatal crash near Wetaskiwin last week.

It happened on June 18, at approximately 9:00 a.m., when Wetaskiwin RCMP received a 911 call of a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 2A near Township road 472 near Wetaskiwin.

Mounties attended and further investigation indicated a car was traveling northbound in an erratic manner and went into the lane of oncoming traffic, colliding with a gravel truck heading southbound on Highway 2A.

Emergency medical services and fire services also attended the scene.
