Aside from some pyrotechnics, there will be no Canada Day celebration in Red Deer this year.
That’s despite the province’s announcement that the province will move to Stage 3 of its Open for Summer Plan on July 1.
Organizers shared the news on Facebook on Friday.
More details on the fireworks planned for Westerner Park will be released in the coming days.
