June 3

8:46 a.m. – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 494 – Complainant reported a gravel truck drove past a school bus while red lights flashing. Under investigation

8:59 a.m. – Brazeau County – Violet Grove area – Complainant reported a fraud involving a mortgage. Under investigation

9:17 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Greenwood – Members attended a residence for a report of an assault. Investigation lead to one male being charged with assault. A second male was arrested on warrants out of Edmonton

10:12 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 61 St – Complainant reported the license plate stolen off a utility trailer

10:37 a.m. – Brazeau County – RR 81 – Complainant requesting assistance retrieving mail from a residence where she had been renting a room; landlord not answering calls. Members spoke to the male who will be forwarding the mail

11:12 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Walmart – Complainant reported a dog left in a red Ram pickup. Vehicle left prior to members attending

11:20 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Industrial Rd – Complainant attended the detachment to report the flag of a neighbouring business was in a shameful state. Company owner advised, was already aware and will be replacing it

12:16 a.m., 12:27 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Greenwood – Two files generated, related to the complaint from 9:17 a.m. reporting assault and threats. Member investigated, no further charges resulted

1:21 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 47A Ave – Member responded to a residential alarm with multiple hits. Cancelled by homeowner

1:24 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 47A Ave – Complainant reported his cell phone missing, unsure if he lost it or it was stolen

2:58 p.m. – Brazeau County – Countrystyle – Complainant reported a darky grey truck hit his dog and didn’t’ stop. Dog suffered broken ribs

3:39 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Omniplex – Complainant reported two trucks driving erratically, nearly colliding with him. Under investigation

3:48 p.m. Drayton Valley – 50 St/52 Ave – Complainant reported being hit while crossing at a marked crosswalk. Under investigation, driver identified

4:03 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Omniplex – Complaint received that the driver of a truck had cut him off. Related to the file received at 3:39 p.m.. Under investigation

8:56 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Ave/54 St – Complainant reported two suspicious white trucks parked in bushes near Shangrila Lodge. Members attended and searched the area to no avail

10:29 p.m. – Drayton Valley – PetroCan south area – Complainant reported an older Suburban pulling an ATV on a trailer that didn’t appear road worthy. Vehicle left the area and member was unable to relocate it

June 4

1:08 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Complainant reported two males breaching a no contact order. Party’s not located, insufficient evidence to charge

2:03 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – open static line 911 call from a business. Member attended, business closed, history of past similar calls

5:13 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a female who appeared to be high, walking down the street. Member attended, female not located.

7:52 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complaint received of an attempted truck theft. Door handle broken, ignition broken, culprits unsuccessful in stealing the truck

10:38 a.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22/Twp Rd 502 – Complainant reported an abandoned Honda Civic. Member attended, RO contacted, car broken down but will be towed

10:55 a.m. – Parkland County – RR 73 – Complainant reported a hot tub and chicken coop stolen from a foreclosed residence. Confirmed that the chicken coop hadn’t simply crossed the road

11:34 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 56 Ave – Complainant reported a suspicious white truck parked near his business. Member attended but truck had left

12:32 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 620/RR 85 – Complainant reported a possible impaired driver in an older Cadillac. Members located the vehicle in town. Driver not impaired, claimed he had been distracted by his daughter

1:17 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Dodson Plaza – Complainant reported a dog in a hot car. Members attended but the car had left

3:17 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported a vehicle abandoned behind a business for a few days. Member attended, vehicle not stolen, owner contacted who advised it broke down and her boyfriend was going to get it towed

5:15 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Skate Park area – Complainant reported an altercation between two 13-year-old girls. Member spoke to both parties, no charges

6:06 p.m. – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 504 – Third party complaint of a domestic in progress. Members attended and arrested a male who on three charges. The male was held for a bail hearing and released on conditions.

6:07 p.m. – Brazeau County – City Service Bridge area – Complainant reported an abandoned truck. Member attended and determined the truck wasn’t stolen. Owner is aware of its location. Second duplicate complaint also received and dealt with.

6:21 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Evergreen School – Complainant reported two approximately 13-year-old males playing inappropriate music loudly via a speaker. Parents at the park had asked the boys to stop, but they refused. Members were unable to attend at the time due to other ongoing calls

June 5

7:45 a.m. – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 491/RR 71 – Complainant reported locating copper wire. Member attended, determined it was the sheathing that had been disposed of by (likely) copper wire thieves. County contacted to pick up

10:03 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 54 St – Complainant reported her 2012 Ram pickup stolen. Patrols made but vehicle not located. Truck recovered June 6 with an incorrect plate attached and the canopy missing

1:00 p.m. – Brazeau County – City Service Bridge – Third complaint about truck abandoned. Not stolen, complainant advised

1:58 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 St – third party complaint of domestic violence concerns, ongoing for several months. Members attended and spoke to the potential victim who didn’t want to provide a statement at the time and reported the suspect wasn’t residing with her. Investigation ongoing

2:03 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Ave – Complainant reported a large, unattended fire in a yard. Member attended, fire had burned down and homeowner was present. Homeowner was advised to not leave fire unattended and that concerns had been expressed about potential spread

3:24 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Jocelyn’s Independent – Complaint received of an unwanted female who was banned from a store having locked herself in the washroom. Members attended, female had left

3:25 p.m. – Brazeau County –RR 80 – Complainant reported a black Mustang stunting. Under investigation

3:37 p.m. – Drayton Valley -52 Ave – Complainant reported an intoxicated female knocking on business windows, left on foot. Members believe it was the same person who had been in Independent. Patrols were made, female not located

4:58 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported in intoxicated male passed out behind the wheel of a white Dodge pickup. Members attended and determined both driver and passenger to be under the influence of illicit drugs. Both were arrested and subsequently released as it appeared the evidence had been consumed. The driver was issued a driving prohibition and the truck was towed

6:25 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 56 St – Complainant called from out of province requesting police attend her residence as her adult son had undesirable guests over. Member attended and advised the son that his friend should leave as per his mothers request

7:35 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant called from Rocky Mountain House advising her brother was missing, that he had hitchhiked to Drayton Valley for a medical appointment and not returned. Investigation determined the male was at his residence on the O’Chiese First Nation, alive and well. Complainant has a history of making similar complaints

11:23 p.m. – Parkland County – Berrymoor Bridge area – Complainant reported several young adults drinking and driving by the bridge. Members attended and located the males who were camping and not planning to drive anywhere until morning

June 6

5:55 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 56 St – Complainant reported being assaulted by her intoxicated boyfriend. Members investigated and the suspect was located and arrested in Lodgepole. Suspect in custody and awaiting a bail hearing

10:27 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Request from Breton RCMP to execute a warrant on individual who resides in Drayton Valley

10:46 a.m. – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting abandoned vehicle on a lease site. Member attended, vehicle had been reported stolen the previous day.

11:14 a.m. – Drayton Valley – RCMP – File created to document assistance to Edmonton Police regarding the arrest of a male with an outstanding warrant from their jurisdiction. The male had been arrested and released on June 4 to appear in court in Edmonton in August

1:40 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reporting sidewalk and foot bridge had been spray painted. Matter is still under investigation.

3:48 p.m. – Brazeau county – File created to document assistance to Edmonton Police regarding arrest of male with outstanding warrant from their jurisdiction.

5:04 p.m. – Brazeau county – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no drivers licence.

5:08 p.m. – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting suspicious activity. Dark Blue GMC truck keeps driving by residence.

7:01 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 911 hangup received. Ongoing issue at hospital as individuals are attempting to dial out. Member attended, no emergency.

7:07 p.m. – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting cable cut alarm. Complainant called back to advise it had been cut by a lawn mower.

7:30 p.m. – Drayton Valley – complainant reporting they were assaulted by ex. Members attended and separated both parties.

8:29 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a possible stolen or abandoned bike. Member attended, several bikes there, however the bike reported was not.

8:47 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Skate Park – Complainant approached member on patrol to report they were being harassed by known male. Member reviewed messages and determined no offence. Member spoke with both parties. Male warned about behaviour.

8:50 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting leaking oil and tranny fluid. Member attended and determined male was working on truck and spilled fluids. Fire attended and cleaned spill up.

June 7

9:54 a.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 759 – Complainant reporting several gravel trucks are travelling at high rates of speed kicking up rocks which then fly onto their property. Member attended area and conducted traffic enforcement.

10:18 a.m. – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant called in a traffic hazard on the bridge. Dead Deer is on the bridge. Member attended and moved the deer off the highway.

12:25 p.m. – Tomahawk – Complainant reporting they found a wallet at the gas station. Member attended and seized wallet. Member contacted owner of wallet.

12:28 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued violation ticket for failing to obey traffic control device..

2:01 p.m. – Tomahawk – 50 Avenue – Complainant reported that an unknown vehicle hit their 2018 ford Explorer while in a parking lot.

2:16 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reporting a young child is out walking by themselves on 50 Avenue. Members attended area and spoke with numerous pedestrians. No one had observed the child.

2:46 p.m. – Edmonton area – Complainant attended the detachment to report grandsons phone had been stolen in Edmonton.

5:29 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Complainant called to report their residence had been broken into and a laptop stolen. Also stolen was a 2001 Toyota Corolla. Vehicle was recovered a few streets over.

7:43 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant requesting removal of male from residence. Member attended and spoke with male who was cooperative and left.

June 8

12:08 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Request from AHS to conduct a quarantine check on individual.

8:06 a.m. – Drayton valley – Complainant attended the detachment to report a found chainsaw which had been in the middle of the road. Chainsaw returned to rightful owner

9:39 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Request from AHS to conduct a quarantine check on individual. Individual was compliant and isolating.

11:33 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 55A Avenue – Complainant reporting that the val tag sticker on his licence plate was stolen.

12:37 – Brazeau county – Complainant called to report a suspicious package showed up. Package was from China and contained two close pins.

1:53 p.m. – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting illegal dumping of cable stripping’s and garbage. Ongoing issue.

2:45 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for failing to wear a seatbelt.

3:39 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a disturbance at the Econorest. Known male kicked in the door to the back building. Property rep wanted male spoken to. Member attended and gave warning to male.

4:20 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Member attended residence of male wanted on Canada Wide Warrant for parole violation. 48 year old Mark Pratt arrested. Search warrant executed on residence. Large quantity of drugs and cash located.

6:18 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Complainant reporting known male sped through the parking lot. Members attended location and patrolled the area with negative results.

8:38 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting fireworks being set off around trailer court. Member attended, fireworks had stopped prior to arrival. Patrols in area made.

June 9

9:53 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Walmart – Complainant reporting a hit and run while parked in the parking lot. 2018 Grey Toyota Sienna was damaged on the rear passenger side.

11:58 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – St. Anthony’s school reported that a student said they observed a male and thought they had a gun. School was locked down and members attended. School cleared. No gun or individual matching the description was located. No further reports received.

1:34 p.m. – Brazeau county – Hwy 620 – Complainant reporting a semi roll over, blocking both lanes of the highway. Members, fire attended. No injuries. Traffic was rerouted for several hours.

1:39 p.m. – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting a possible impaired driver. Brown GMC Sierra was swerving all over the road. Patrols made, vehicle not located.

2:03 p.m. – Brazeau county – Complainant requesting a welfare check on father in law who has allowed an individual to stay on their property. Members attended and spoke with all parties.

3:10 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 55 Avenue – Complainant reporting they lost control of their vehicle and hit another. No injuries.

3:46 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reporting there are some Junior high students that are bullying the elementary school children . Patrols made in the area, youth not located.

4:56 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle drive through the turning lane at a high rate of speed passing vehicles. Driver issued a violation ticket for driving at an unreasonable speed.

5:02 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported that a male was being inappropriate with a young girl. Members attended and spoke with all parties. It was determined that there was no inappropriate contact between father and daughter.

5:28 p.m. – Brazeau county – Complainant advised that there were unwanted people on their property and would like them removed. Members attended, individual who was not welcome had been given permission to stay there.

9:02 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for using their cell phone while driving.
