May 31, 2021 | 2:59 PM

The Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre is currently running its annual Baby Bottle Campaign via canadahelps.org.

Every dollar counts and will provide material supports and/or access to much needed support and education to those facing an unplanned pregnancy. This campaign runs until Father’s Day.

The Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre provides compassionate support and education to individuals and families impacted by unexpected pregnancy and its effects. All CAPCC programs and services are free, confidential, and are offered in a safe and non-judgmental environment regardless of age, gender, race, or religion.

Women, men, and families are able to access a variety of support services within the Red Deer, Olds, Rocky Mountain House, Drumheller, and Stettler communities such as, pregnancy tests, pregnancy options counselling, male mentorship, baby and maternity clothing, post-abortion support, Steps to Sexual Health program, parenting support, and community resources.

Our Red Deer location also provides maternity housing for pregnant mothers and mothers and babies.

The Aerie is a two-phase maternity home program for pregnant teens and young women offering a nurturing home, supporting healthy pregnancy and positive parenting. The Aerie, which is staffed 24/7, has the capacity for up to 11 women and their infants.

Residents who meet the eligibility criteria enter phase 1 of the program during their pregnancy and move into phase 2 when their infant is approximately 6 months of age.

Phase 2 residents who continue to meet program outcomes are invited to stay until their child is approximately 2 years of age. While in Phase 2, clients will continue to pursue education and/or employment pursuits while continuing to strengthen their parenting and life skills.
