A trial date has been set for a Calgary woman charged following an altercation at an anti-racism event in Red Deer last summer.

Taylor Michelle McNallie, 30, will go to trial on Nov. 3, 2021, after a not guilty plea was entered in Red Deer provincial court on Tuesday.

McNallie faces one count of assault with a weapon in the Sept. 20, 2020 incident at Rotary Recreation Park.

She stands charged in relation to the second of three separate incidents RCMP say took place during the event. McNallie was charged after police say they were made aware of social media footage of the incident the day following the event.

After reviewing dozens of videos taken from different angles of the second altercation, police claim to have identified three separate criminal incidents that took place at the demonstration.

Trevor Lyle Roy, 42, of Penhold is charged with two counts of assault in relation to the incidents of that day. His case returns to court Apr. 27.
