Clearwater County roadside cleanup is back on
Clearwater County’s annual roadside cleanup is back on and sign ups have started as of April 19.
On Saturday May 8, community groups will cleanup 41 sections of roadside, earning $600 per section cleaned for their group or club. Funding for the cleanup is provided the County, as well as safety vests, garbage bags and signs.
The County is also reminding groups that all groups must do the safety course, be 10 years or older, wear their safety equipment, and only clean between the time of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the specified date. Groups are also responsible for bringing garbage they’ve collected to their own local waste transfer site as the town of Rocky and Clearwater County have separate waste disposal access cards.
By going to the county’s website, groups will first choose how many sections they would like to clean. Any more than three will only be possible if there is availability. Groups will then choose three sections of road they’d prefer to clean using the county provided map.
