RCMP in Drayton Valley have laid charges against three people following a search warrant executed this week at a local residence.

Mounties say that on March 23, following a two-month long investigation, three people were arrested for drug-related offences.

The seizure made by police includes 128 grams of Cocaine, 147 grams of Methamphetamine, 1400 millilitres of GHB, 38 vape pens filled with an unknown substance, Oxycodone, Fentanyl, stolen ID cards, brass knuckles, and a loaded .40 calibre handgun.

Joey Lee Gallie, 34, of Drayton Valley, Chantelle Marie Lapointe, 30, of Drayton Valley, and an unnamed 28-year-old woman from Blairmore each face multiple charges.

Gallie will appear in Drayton Valley Provincial Court on April 1, Lapointe on April 6, and the unnamed woman on May 18. All three had outstanding warrants for their arrest from other jurisdictions, RCMP add.

“Enforcement of drug trafficking has been identified as a priority by the community of Drayton Valley. Drug traffickers exploit individuals with addictions leading to an increase in property crime and drug overdoses within our community,” says Cpl. Ryan Hoetmer of the Drayton Valley RCMP GIS. “Drayton Valley RCMP remains committed to the enforcement of those who choose to profit off these addictions.”
