Didsbury RCMP execute search warrant, seize drugs and cash

A Calgary man is facing charges after Mounties seized drugs and cash from a residence in Didsbury last weekend.

On Mar. 21, RCMP conducted an extensive search at the residence and seized what police suspect to be 725 grams of cocaine, 101 grams of fentanyl, and 9 grams of methamphetamine.

The estimated street value of the drugs is $70,000. Officers also seized $15,000 in cash.

Omar Ibrahim Sail, 23, was arrested and is facing two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of property obtained by crime, and six counts of failing to comply with release conditions.

Sail has been remanded in police custody and is scheduled to appear in Didsbury provincial court on Mar. 29.
