Olds Grizzlys go 0-2 on the weekend

It was a tough weekend for the Olds Grizzlys as they suffered a pair of losses in AJHL action.

Olds started off well with a powerplay goal from Kyle Wallace at 2:48 of the first period.

Camrose stormed back on goals by Ryan Sullivan, Connor Brock and Lynden Grandberg to make it to make it 3-1 through 20 minuutes.

Grandberg scored again in the second period to make it 4-1 before Logan Cyca got one back for Olds, but that was as close as they got.

Ty Marcinkowski made 28 saves in net for Olds while Griffin Bowerman stopped 25 shots in the win for Camrose.

Saturday night was a 5-0 blowout loss as the Grizzlys were downed by the Drumheller Dragons.

Luke Fennig opened the scoring shorthanded, and Aiden Yakimchuk made it 2-0 on the power play.

Kent Anderson, Hayden Prosofsky, and Mack Stewart would round out the scoring for the Dragons.

Dragons Ryley Osland was unbeatable on the night as he turned aside all 28 shots he faced from the Grizzlys.

Olds will try to get a win against the Dragons when they play Friday night in Drumheller. Saturday, the Grizzlys host Camrose at 2 p.m.
