2021 housing starts in Red Deer outpacing last year

New construction in Red Deer in 2021 continues to outpace last year.

Work started on 10 homes in the city last month, according to the latest numbers from Canada Mortgage and Housing. That’s two more than February 2021.

Five of the units started last month were single-family, while five were row houses.

Year-to-date numbers show 21 housing starts in Red Deer through the first two months of 2021, compared to 15 through January and February last year.
