Oil paintings stolen in Lacombe County

Sylvan Lake RCMP are investigating a break-in to a seasonal residence that resulted in three original oil paintings being stolen.

Mounties say the break-in occurred near the boat launch on Kuusamo Krest.

Sometime between Feb. 27 and Feb. 28, police say an unknown vehicle accessed the residence after pulling up to the dock. Oil paintings, silverware and a media centre were all taken.

The paintings are described as very unique items and should be easily identifiable to the public, or pawn shops or on buy & sell sites.
