COW LAKE, AB – Mounties in Rocky Mountain House are searching for a man who pulled a firearm on a County Peace Officer Tuesday morning.

RCMP say it was at about 11:45 a.m. when the officer attempted a traffic stop of an older model Jeep near Cow Lake. The male driver got out of the Jeep, retrieved a rifle from the back seat, and pointed it at the officer. Police say the man did not fire the rifle before driving away.

The RCMP are asking for public assistance in identifying the suspect male and locate his vehicle.
