RCMP Breton-Thorsby welcomes new Detachment Commander

Staff Sergeant Dwayne Moore has been named the new Detachment Commander for Breton and Thorsby Detachments.

Moore began his duties in his new role on Monday.

Moore has spent all of his 17 years with the RCMP in Alberta. He has previously served in Leduc, Edson and Maskwacis and brings in-depth knowledge of the dynamics of policing in rural Alberta.

Superintendent Gord Stewart, Acting District Commander for RCMP Central Alberta District, is also thanking S/Sgt. Harpreet Dhaliwal, who was the Detachment Commander since 2017 and who provided strong leadership to the detachment.
