Police respond to firearms complaint in south Red Deer

Red Deer RCMP say there is no risk to the public following a firearms complaint Friday night.

It was shortly before 10 p.m. when a call came in about a possible firearm at a residence near Arnold Close and Amlee Close, just north of the East Hill Shopping Centre.

Police were on scene in large numbers and RCMP can confirm that a gun of some kind was fired.

No one was injured and the investigation remains ongoing.
