Olds Grizzlys games cancelled after league reports positive COVID-19 test

The Olds Grizzlys have been forced to cancel their scheduled AJHL games this weekend after a member from another team tested positive from COVID-19.

The league announced on Thursday that a member of the Canmore Eagles tested positive for the virus. The Eagles have activated AHS protocols and the league’s schedule is being adjusted as required.

As a result, a home and home series between the Grizzlys and Drumheller Dragons slated for tonight in Drumheller and Saturday in Olds has been cancelled.

The Grizzlys say they plan to honour tickets sold for Saturday’s game at their January 22 home game versus the Dragons.

Olds hosted the Okotoks Oilers in their regular season opener last Saturday and fell by a score of 4-1.
