Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for a large swath of central and west central Alberta.
Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.
A band of very heavy snow will develop through central Alberta this evening. Visibility will be reduced in the heavy snow,” the weather agency says. “The northern extent of the heavy snow is expected to be along Highway 16, this includes the city of Edmonton. Total snowfall amounts are expected to vary across the city with the heaviest amounts falling in the south.”
Environment Canada says the snow will move eastwards into Saskatchewan Thursday afternoon.
