Son charged in mother’s death at Maskwacis home

A 34-year old man has been charged with second-degree murder for the death of his mother in Maskwacis.

RCMP in Maskwacis responded to a 911 call about a deceased female at a local residence just after 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 7.

Corinne Lisa Saddleback, 51, was found passed away. Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit was deployed to take over the investigation.

Her son, Ashton Lloyd Saddleback, 34, was taken into custody, where he remains. His first appearance in court is set for Nov. 10 in Wetaskiwin.
